today, we had practical examination! :) im happy that we manage to get the products for presentation to wonderful masterpieces. sandwich bread, butter cake n choux pastry. i love the choux pastry, no matter what.
i think the sandwich bread wasn't that good.. there is lots of hold in the inner parT and not really smooth. it looks rough.. but i love the outside look of the sanddwich bread loaf. so pretty n attractive!!
butter cake was alright... n is still the best to eat with coffee, tea os milk. :)
i brought the choux pastry to work, gave to my colleague! all of them love it and i really love to see them feeling happy while eating things that i baked! one whole big container filled with cream puff and eclairs finished by the end of the day. :)

Kinda O.K day for me.
Hanna did presentation today since yesterday her group cant present due to time constraint. i managed to mumble through my presentation as my group was the last one yesterday, on Raising agent. i mumbled through so that i could end it faster since there is another class waiting outside the class. so nothing fun about it..
back to hanna presentation. i was quite late for school today.. and hanna asked me to quickly come as she needs us(iffah, sarah and me)for her presentation. :) so i tried my best to come in before 2pm.. but i reached thr at 2.05pm. luckily she haven't start the presentation. hehe
today is my eldest sis birthday! and i baked the cream cake with the thoughts of her! so this morning i gave her the cake and sang birthday song to her! she was smiling so widely and i told her to feel great that the first complete cream cake i made was kind of her birthday cake! hehe :)
hip hip hurray!!! i salute myself for cleaning my guinea pigs cage!!! they smell better after the cage are cleaned..
ok tomorrow will be the practical exam! omg.. im scared. haha. yay! next week revision week! im going to work 4 days! :) i want to work for the whole week if i could! hehe but i know i will need a break for myself. and some study time for myself. i can't wait to go study with my friends. :) and sleep till afternoon.

Finally.. a relax night! :)
hmm.. its been long since the last post.. i admit im kind of lazy to write blog.. but its quite fun when you have the time. :)so when was the last post???...
ahh.. may 6, 2010. wow one month ago.. *shakes head*
ok what happened during the last month..?
> may 7, fri: pizza!
i did not know why, but my pizza dough keep changing it shape. at first, i got a perfect round shape pizza, then when i want to place it on the baking tray, the shape changed.. so i decided to take it and rolled it out again to get a round shape. but it turned out to be more worst. at last, after much attempt. iffah offered help and roll it back into a round ball and start to roll it out from scratch. :) it didn't turned out to be a perfect round but im very thankful to her. :)

i want more of the hot dog buns!!! it taste exactly like from the bakery! :)
funny scenario, on the next day, when we sweep and mopped the floor, we found one hot dog bun lying below the flour container! hahaha. poor hot dog bun, i can hear u crying due to loneliness. aww.. fraid not.. you will get some company soon. *throw into the rubbish bin* there you go, safe and sound. :p

the fruit tart i made are pretty. too pretty that i didn't wanna eat them. i just feel like i wanna frame them up. XD ouh well, you know how fruit tarts appeals to one. i ate it no matter what. its delicious!

sad day. i woke up at 9am and i could not join them for IS practical.. luckily, i helped chef bernard out on the day before, so i kind of know what the method would be and how the process would be. i like the banana tart! they makes my tastebud dance to the sound of symphony!
so since i cant go for IS, i met hanna and sarah for lunch. And i took some of their products. hehe. i'm really jealous of them bringing home those tarts. apple pie was nice too. :)

i love the egg tart. the egg tart remind me the ones i had in my secondary school. *not so old memories flows back* as my teeth sank into the egg tart and cracked the tart shell, my taste bud are warming up. * taste bud doing the stretching and breathing in and out* the flavor starts to flow over to all my taste bud allowing them to savor every few moments of it, doing the para para dance move. LOL! i love the crumbles on the top of the blueberry with the fillings. the taste are simply sinful. :D

i love the quiche!! omg. Now i know how to make a perfect quiche shell. savoury tart shells.... hehe.. butter, flour, salt n water. :) i remembered i once did a quiche but the shell leaks. such a sad memory.
on this day also, my dear friend, jaslynn starts working!! yay!! go jas! u can do it!! :) *hanna and me accompanying jas on the first day, and doing our projects at the same time.*

the cornflake cookies were superb! i wanna do more cornflakes cookies.
NOTE: put more butter in the mixture so that more crushed cornflakes can stick on it.
> may 26, wed: chocolate chip cookies and almond cookies
woah woah woah!! chocolate chips cookies! love it. it tasted like famous amos. the way it is done also similar to famous amos. more chocolate chips again n less walnut! courtesy to sarah n me because we don't want nuts in our cookies! XD
and i love thursday, 27 may 2010: because we(jaslynn, iffah and me) had a slept over at hanna's house! movie marathon to the next morning!!! fun fun fun! heheh

i just found out how unhealthy puff pastries are.. PASTRY MARGARINE IS THE KILLER!
"why do i say that?".... BECAUSE PASTRY MARGARINE ARE TRANSFAT THAT CANNOT BE DIGESTED IN OUR BODY! IT CAN ONLY CLOT THE ARTERIES AND CAUSE HYPERTENSION OR CORONARY HEART DISEASE. REASON IS THAT IT CANNOT MELT IN OUR BODY AS THE MELTING POINT OF PASTRY MARGARINE IS 44 DEGREE CELSIUS WHEREBY OUR BODY TEMPERATURE IS ONLY 37 DEGREE CELSIUS. THEREFORE, EVEN WHEN U HAVE FEVER, THIS FATS WONT MELT.
however.. i love the tuna puff. :(
THE ONLY SOLUTION LEFT IS: boil your blood to 100 degree Celsius or... drink boiling water. lol!!! conclusion: I DO NOT WANT TO EAT PUFF PASTRY EVER AGAIN!

iffah, sarah, hanna and me was so noisy during the practical. well, basically we enjoyed the IS on that day because we paid a visit at the culinary practical class to cook our curry puff fillings. :) chef samson cook the curry puff filling. sarah, iffah n hanna took turns to cry while dicing the onions. XD folding PASTRY MARGARINE into our dough for about 3-5 times book fold.
> june 4, fri: choux pastry (eclair and cream puff)
wow! now i noe how easy choux pastry is done.. just add butter, sugar and water into a pot and heat it up on stove, then after it melts, add flour. then place it into mixer to release steam and lower the temperature slightly. then slowly add eggs. then it is ready to pipe!!!
NOTED: in the making of choux pastry, it is important that the ingredient used are accurate. if the ingredients are not accurate, the choux might not rise.
brought 1/3 of what i baked in school to work. :) all my colleague love it and keep wanting more. as usual, tim will be the last person who takes the last few. ijah and him keep asking more everytime i come for work. when i said, i had none left since my family had eaten all up. they asked me, "why do you make the cream puff till its so nice?" :)

yay! the spongecake this time round rises up! success! finally a perfect spongecake. i remember when i did spongecake the first time, it was a failure. the spongecake is too compact and have a heavy volume. unlike the spongecake i done on that day, it was light and airy. :)
> june 9, wed: decorate spongecake with icing.
oooo!! rosette! shell! i love to pipe! so interesting. hehe. my spongecake was divided by 3 layer. hehe. very pretty. but when i get home......
the cake look slanted. part of the cake cream looks like someone had mashed them. *who would that someone be,,?* lol
but still the cake taste nice! i will do it again really really soon. :)make it much nicer then this time round.

Mc-MORNING!!!!
go on early morning date with my darl, hanna maki. my breakfast is a slice of my very own baked sandwich bread! im so proud of myself in baking the first ever bread by my own! SAY "NO!" TO COMMERCIAL BREAD! i'll bake my own from now on.. or.... i don't think i'll bake it.. i'm lazy.. what else can i say.. only if i have the mood. which happen once in a blue moon. ehehe. ok. RECAP:
3rd week: pandan chiffon cake, walnut cake, banana cake, sinful chocolate brownie!!!!
-hehe, on friday, april 30, 2010. :) i baked the sinful chocolate brownie! people like me would say 'LOTS OF CHOCOLATE!' in brownie. so i put more chocolate chips less walnut.. :) on the april 26, 2010, i pay a visit at my workplace i since i never go work for abt 2 weeks, i missed them and missed working.

haha. ok back to my story, so i promised them that i would bring whatever i baked on the coming friday since im working on friday too. so friday came, and i forgot to bring the brownie for them because i was in a hurry. so i promised i will bring it on saturday. brought it to work! And no offence, i think the brownie i baked is nicer than CoffeeBean's brownie! heheh. :) im proud to announce tt everyone loves the brownie i baked with my 2 darl in school!!! hanna maki and pretty sarah!!! it's the power of three i am talking now. hehe.
4th week, baked: plain sandwich bread loaf, wholemeal bread and tmr we're going to do pizza!! how should i pronounce it, "pit-za!" yay!!
Chef Bernard said the buns looks like pamela anderson. hahaha! wtf!
Iffah, then announce tt she is lesbian to chef bernard, she said she, me and hanna are lesbian partner.. and both of them are like fighting over me. haha
however.. these are crazy acts.. i am straight so is hanna.. but iffah.. hmm.. i don't know :) hahaha
suppose to be posted at 12pm just now but no internet connection. :)

Journey begins here!
so here, i will be writing all abt the things tt will be happening in my tertiary. will be dedicated to friends who are curious abt me, worried abt me, from my current sch or previous sch. To people who wants to get inspired by me :P ok now im starting my nonsense.... i will be writing my memories down so i won't forget it and most imptly, to share with evryone abt my experience and friendship i get in this school called SHATEC. :) I am very proud to announce tt i am a diploma in pastry and baking course.
So it's will be a something like sneak preview u seen in cinema.. but i can't possibly record everything tt happened. so i want u to read, imagine and somehow get the movie playing in ur mind! i can guarantee u that it won't be a disappointment.. :) i hope. hahah ok
2 wks had pass... what have i been doing in sch?
